These Iron Hand Scouts have been practicing their rifle merit badge. These 3 scouts will flesh out the forward party of my Killzone force. Each with a sniper rifle and stealth upgrades for the army list.
This fellow is out of ammo and needs some assistance, his call of duty dictates that his comrade back hand toss his last magazine to him...
These chaps will be fighting it out on the ever progressing trenches on Planet X. Up next is flooring grates and sandbag laying. Those white foam dividers are simply bracing the panels so the glue sets up.
Using only the most advanced tools, we at Studio 57 expertly manipulate our pink foam.

Over the Top!
Over the top and take that trench! In the 41st millennium's war there is always another planet that needs liberating and defenses broken. Here are some works in progress on a battle weary trench system.
Current construction has two 24x24 sections that are modular and can be laid out on any side to make a fluid trench system.
Both sections are finished with the second layer of trenches being 2 inches deep and the front sitting at 1 inch; perfect height for a model to peak its head over the top.
And to keep those pesky heavy movers at a distance, the modified howitzer of the future. This will be sitting in a deep 2 inch trench pit in the first photo in the bottom left hand corner.
The brave souls to drop planet side and storm these killzones are a couple of the Emperor's Iron Hands.
Green smoke and the airstrike is a no go,
Up next is the gritty sniper of the squad complete with his red urban DPM camouflage. Perfect for hiding behind graffiti walls or perhaps the roof top of a skittles factory.

Tests, Big Guns, and Wrecks
Wow it has been a while! but I am very excited to be back with my first movie marine test paint. Trying out painting camo to offset these Iron Hands paint scheme.
While this is the first test marine, I have not decided on base schemes yet. Going with the urban camo pattern I think moving with an urban rumble look is the best choice.
Along with the red, I am going with black and yellow warning paint to break up the models look.
After much looking and not finding Imperial Guard players wishing to part with their basilisks on the cheap, a nice substitute came in the mail. A 1/35 scale WWII Long Tom will be featured on our 40k trench table.
Along side the long tom will be a wrecked old school 40k tank out in "no-mans" land. I had some spare time with a blow torch, kitchen steal, and pliers.
Anyway, this should kick off a lot more frequent updates with completing some marine squads and then moving forward with a new lord of the rings army.

Inked Out
With Theon Greyjoys sudden but inevitable betrayal I celebrate Game of Thrones Episode 8 with something I doubt they ate on the Iron Shore.
We have a squid ink lasagnetta! Made in a classy muffin tin. Space Marines will be hopping walls to get their hands on these.
This tactical marine doing hurtles just to get in line. Part 2 of the future Kill Zone squad adds in a techmarine to keep those gears turning when you need them.
Even the Iron Father/Tech Marine won't wait to cut into this blackened pasta treat.
Just as a battlefield mechanic should be built, this marine has parts ranging from a dread knight to the 2012 Adepticon give away mini.

Notorious
Getting this 40k kick in full motion with a bunch of terrain painting down in the suburbs.
A ton of small barriers and random bits to flesh out any board.
We started cleaning some of the bigger terrain, other pieces include the land pad from GW and some homemade hangers to complete an airbase type board.
Some internet research started our plans for making a couple 2 foot by 2 foot trench sections you could lay down on any surface to mesh with the static terrain.
Built two terminators for my ever expanding Iron Hands army, these guys are going to be the back bone for our upcoming Special Operations Killzone games.
Biggie and Smalls will be the front runners for the force. Smalls shoots his gun sideways...
Biggie will be the assault terminator with Smalls a regular terminator. The metal planking will somehow find its way into their bases.
Next kill zone squad members are going to be two scout marines.

Dreadnaught Dundee
That's not a dreadnaught.
THAT's a Dreadnaught!
I added in some miscellaneous old bits from childhood toys and then mashed up a landspeeder to go with it.
Up next will be some terminators to go with a Kill Zone squad in the works. Multiple terrain boards are in the works for these games including an airbase, fallout shield generator, and some sort of PVC sewer system for both our movie marine games and kill zone small scale encounters.
